Maine-UNH hockey game to be on CSTV

ORONO – CSTV, the first 24-hour college sports network, will air the hockey game between the University of Maine and archrival New Hampshire on Friday night, Jan. 30. The game will be moved back from 7 to 8 p.m. to reach more national viewers. This will be the first ever nationally televised game from Alfond Arena.

“This is a great opportunity for our hockey program, a nationally televised game in the Alfond against a great rival. Getting maximum TV exposure for our hockey team is very important to us,” said Maine athletic director Patrick Nero. “This partnership with CSTV adds to packages already in place with WABI (Channel 5, Bangor) and NESN to bring Maine hockey into millions of homes. The emergence of CSTV is having a very positive impact on college sports.”

Maine will have at least 17 hockey games televised this season.

CSTV is available to approximately 15 million homes nationally on cable and satellite. It is available on Adelphia and Insight cable systems, among others, and is also available on DirecTV (channel 610).
