Santa’s Helper update

Many folks generously donated money received Wednesday in memory of loved ones who have died, helping to bring the Santa’s Helper Fund total to $12,533. Thanks to all who have made contributions.

Adding to the fund were Mr. and Mrs. C.O. Hawkes, in memory of Tom and Christine Donham, Island Falls, $20; Robert and Shirley Stairs, Hampden, $50; Dennis and Sibyl Mahoney, in memory of their daughter Pamela Clifton, $25; Helen K. Stanley, in memory of her husband, Leslie, Brewer, $25; Casey Burke, Hermon, $50; Elizabeth and Rocco Noschese in memory of their son Mark and granddaughter Emily Elizabeth, Hermon, $100;

Also donating money were The Good Sam Road Runners, Chapter 27, Bangor, $140; Rick Cosmos, in loving memory of Robert Zoidis, Bangor, $10; Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn R. Martin, in memory of Dan and Pete, Millinocket, $25; Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Fitts, Brewer, $30; John and Charlene Brownlee, Patten, $25; Ava M. MacArthur, in memory of Gerald Merry, Crystal, $25; Timothy and Jean Taylor, Northeast Harbor, $25; Joyce Bowman and family, in memory of Errol Bowman, St. Albans, $25; Richard and Joline Peters, Winn, $25; Norman Deschaine, Old Town, $50; Harold and Marion Chute, Orono, $50; Frances Turner, in memory of Herbert G. Four anonymous donations also were received: $3 from no town specified, $100 from Orono, $100 from Carmel and $25 from Dover-Foxcroft.

Wednesday’s donations totaled $1,078.

Donations may be sent to Santa’s Helper Fund, P.O. Box 1329, Bangor, ME 04402-1329. Donors’ names and dollar amounts will be published in the Santa’s Helper column daily. Donors who prefer to remain anonymous will be listed as such. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
