Kids book on duck hunting out

This holiday season Ducks Unlimited is offering youngsters a book that touts the joy of duck hunting and the importance of habitat conservation.

“A Good Day for Ducks” is an illustrated picture book for children age 5 and older that tells the story of a young boy’s first trip to his grandfather’s duck-hunting camp. It is there that Justin, a youngster from the big-city suburbs, discovers the joys of becoming a participant in the natural world, working Grandpa’s retriever, putting out decoys and watching the ducks fly.

To further entice children to embrace the outdoor life, DU has included a working duck call with the book. With each purchase, DU will donate an additional copy of the book to the elementary school or local library of the buyer’s choice.

The book sells for $21.90 and is available by calling 1-800-45-DUCKS or by visiting www.ducks.org/bookstore/.
