Player of the Week

COLLEGE

Kevin Reed

University of Maine sophomore guard Kevin Reed was named America East’s player of the week after scoring 36 points in a victory over Harvard last week. Reed also grabbed seven rebounds and made six steals in the game.

Erica McGary

University of Maine at Presque Isle women’s basketball senior Erica McGary earned the Sunrise Conference Player of the Week and the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Co-Player of the Week honors. McGary of Houlton averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds in a 2-1 week.

Jon Codrey

University of Maine at Presque Isle forward Jon Codrey was named the men’s basketball Rookie of the Week for the Sunrise Conference. Codrey scored 22 points and had 11 rebounds in a loss to UM-Fort Kent.

Nick Pelotte

Former Valley of Bingham High star Nick Pelotte was named Little East Conference player of the week after averaging 28.5 points per game in two games for Plymouth State University. The junior guard also hit six of nine 3-point shots and scored his 57 points in 50 minutes of action.

Jimmy Howard

University of Maine sophomore goalie Jimmy Howard was named the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week. Howard stopped 28 of 29 shots in a 3-1 win at Merrimack on Friday and is 5-1-1 on the season.

Marc McCorrison

Marc McCorrison, a freshman guard, of Maine Maritime Academy was awarded the North Atlantic Conference men’s basketball Player of the Week. McCorrison averaged 25.5 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game, and 3.5 assists per game to help lead Maine Maritime to a 2-0 week.

Julia Knights

Maine Maritime Academy sophomore guard/forward Julia Knights was honored as the North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week of women’s basketball. Knights had 30 points, 19 rebounds, 3 assists, and 6 blocks in two games and was named to the Norwich Tournament All-Tournament Team.

Megan Davis

Colby College women’s basketball player Megan Davis was named the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Co-Rookie of the Week. Davis scored 15 points with five rebounds in Colby’s 76-66 overtime loss to Emmanuel College on Saturday.

Annie McIntosh

Husson College women’s basketball player Annie McIntosh was selected as the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Co-Player of the Week. McIntosh totaled 20 points, 12 rebuonds, and nine blocks in two wins while earning MVP honors in the Paul Bunyan Tournament.
