ROCKLAND – The Coast Guard removed a crew member from the fishing vessel Judith Anne on Tuesday after he was reported to have suffered a seizure.

The Coast Guard’s Roy Potter said the vessel contacted the Coast Guard at 9:27 a.m., seeking help in taking Jeremy Derucheau from the boat. A 41-foot boat was launched, and Derucheau was removed from the Judith Anne in the Mussell Ridge Channel south of Owls Head.

Derucheau was brought to the Rockland Coast Guard pier, Potter said, where a Rockland ambulance took him to a hospital.
