Joe Riley, Susan Tran and Barbara Cariddi have all accepted new positions at Maine Public Broadcasting.
Riley, a 19-year veteran of public broadcasting, will be the executive producer of local productions such as “Made in Maine.” He has worked at television stations in Chattanooga, Tenn., and at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Furman University.
Tran has joined the development department at MPB as an inside sales representative. She previously worked at Playwright Horizons in New York and holds a bachelor’s degree in drama and dance from Bard College.
Cariddi will head the Maine Public Radio bureau in Rockland and will cover the areas of Knox, Lincoln and Waldo counties. She produced and anchored MPR’s “Maine Things Considered” from 1989 to 1994 and has worked at both the Portland Press Herald-Maine Sunday Telegram and WCSH-6 in Portland.
