WATERVILLE – James Godley of Danforth scored 19 points and made five steals to lead the Thomas College Terriers to a 98-57 men’s basketball win over the Unity College Rams Wednesday night.

Adam Rich scored 18 while Matt Dillon and Nick Depalmer each scored 12. Ryan Conrad had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Terriers.

Jeremy Kervin of Hodgdon had a game-high 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Rams. Jared Erskine had 13 points and 10 rebounds while Noah Schneider added 13 points and six rebounds.

At Brunswick, Colby-Sawyer rallied from an 11-point deficit with 15:30 left to take the win.

Andrew St. Clair of Pittsfield paced Colby-Sawyer with 18 points and Chris Condon added 13.

T.J. McLeod led Bowdoin with 17 points, Jon Farmer put in 12 and Kyle Petrie netted 11.

Maryland 69, Florida 68

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Travis Garrison hit a jumper for the winning points in overtime Wednesday night to lift Maryland to a 69-68 victory over No. 1 Florida.

The win was the 300th at Maryland (5-2) for coach Gary Williams.

The Gators (5-1) moved to No. 1 in The Associated Press’ poll on Monday and lost its first game as the top-ranked team. They did the same thing last season, losing to Kentucky days after moving to No. 1 for the first time in school history.

Ex-Deering High of Portland star Nik Caner-Medley had 22 points and 13 rebounds for the Terrapins, who led by as many as 17 points in the second half. They fail to make a field goal over the final 9 minutes of regulation and Florida tied it at 60 to send the game to overtime.

Anthony Roberson had 20 points for the Gators, who led 68-64 in overtime.

At Brunswick, Eileen Flaherty scored 13 points as unbeaten Bowdoin rolled to victory.

Lindsay Bramwell added 10 points for the Polar Bears, ranked third in NCAA Div. III.
