Santa’s Helper Update

The Santa’s Helper Fund had another nice boost Thursday, bringing the total to $31,393. Generous gifts from all around the region arrived from individuals, families, businesses and groups, all of whom have chosen to support the Salvation Army’s work to bring comfort and joy to hundreds of needy people this Christmas.

Thanks go out today to Anonymous, town not given, $3,000; Anonymous, Alton, $25; Anonymous, to honor and remember three World War II veterans, Heber, Alvin and Richard, Hudson, $125; Joan Chase, in memory of Jack and Vera, Hampden, $50; Nancy and Bob Leighton, in memory of Harry Foster, Hampden, $25; Joyce and Roland Schoppe, Ellsworth, $25; Brice and Edith Gould, Dixmont, $25; Janet Rourke, Orono, $20; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lane, Sherman Mills, $100; and In memory of Ida and Harold Davis, Bangor, $25.
