Seven Eastern Maine football players are among the 10 semifinalists for the 33rd James J. Fitzpatrick Trophy to be awarded to the state’s top senior high school football player during a Jan. 18, 2004, banquet in Portland.

The field was reduced from 15 quarterfinalists based on a vote of high school football coaches and selected members of the media. The three finalists will be announced Sunday, Dec. 21.

Semifinalists include Nick Arthers of Belfast, Nate Bolduc of Mt. Blue in Farmington, Mike Prentiss of Bangor, Nate Munzing of Gardiner, Jared Walker of Skowhegan, Phil Warren of Brunswick and Josh Withee of Foxcroft Academy.

Other semifinalists are Phil Bourassa of Biddeford, Joe Marsh of Deering of Portland and Luke Sibley of Wells.
