Danielle Clark

Danielle Clark of the University of New Hampshire women’s basketball team was named the America East Conference Rookie of the Week. The Corinna native and freshman forward had a season-high 13 points to go with five rebounds in a 59-46 win over Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Bayi Handy

Bayi Handy, a senior guard on the University of Maine-Machias men’s basketball team, is the Sunrise Conference Co-Player of the Week. Handy scored 33 points in an overtime win over UMaine-Fort Kent and averaged 24.5 points per game in a 2-0 week.

Nedrie Simmons

University of Maine-Machias men’s basketball player Nedrie Simmons was named the Sunrise Conference Rookie of the Week. He averaged 11.5 points in two wins for the Clippers.

Matt Clement

Clinton native Matt Clement of the Maine Maritime Academy men’s basketball team is the North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week. The junior center posted 22 points, 14.7 rebounds and 5.6 blocks per game as the Mariners were 2-1.
