LINCOLN – A Curves fitness center will open its doors Jan. 19 at its new location on West Broadway.

The 2,400-square-foot center will feature the Curves circuit training program, which is primarily geared toward meeting the fitness needs of women, according to owner Austin Griffin. The 30-minute program includes eight cardiovascular and aerobic machines, as well as eight hydraulic resistance strength training machines, Griffin said.

The Curves center also will have a weight management program, he said.

Along with his wife, Kim, Griffin owns Curves franchises in Brewer, Hampden and Bucksport, all of which have opened within the past year.

Four part-time employees will staff the new facility from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, Griffin said. The center will be open 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays and closed Sundays, he said.

Employees will be available at the Lincoln center starting Jan. 5 and the phone number will be 794-8800. For information, call the Brewer center at 989-3733 or visit the Web site at www.curvesinternational.com.
