What a delight it was to see my former church, St. Bridget’s of Cornwall Bridge, Conn., pictured on your op-ed page on Dec. 17.

More than 30 years ago, I sat before the church and made a pencil drawing that was used for years as the cover of the church bulletin. St. Bridget’s sold numerous copies of my drawing at their annual church fairs. The old church, tucked along the Housatonic River, is a wonderful example of “Carpenter Gothic” architecture and has been often photographed during fall’s colorful leaf season.

Congratulations to your op-ed artists. Their work has consistently been graphically intelligent and able to convey succinctly the themes presented.
