BOYS

Big School (Classes A-B)

CHRIS NOYES

Noyes, a Brewer High senior, became the first wrestler in school history to surpass 100 career victories. The 160-pound team captain then won his weight division at the 14-team Dexter Invitational meet.

Small School (Classes C-D)

DEREK DIFREDERICO

DiFrederico, a senior guard on the Stearns of Millinocket basketball team, totaled 41 points in two games for the 5-0 Minutemen. He scored 20 points in a 50-39 victory over Central of Corinth, then scored 21 – including the 1,000th of his career – as Stearns defeated George Stevens 65-41.

GIRLS

Big School (Classes A-B)

MICHELLE POST

Post, a senior guard on the Presque Isle basketball team, scored 44 points in two wins over MDI and Ellsworth last week. She connected on 10 3-pointers in the two games, including five in the second quarter of a 58-40 win over Ellsworth. The Wildcats are 6-0.

Small School (Classes C-D)

CHRISTIANNAH HOLMES

A sophomore on the Machias basketball team, Holmes tallied 18 points, 16 rebounds, six blocked shots and four steals to help the Bulldogs to their first win of the season, a 65-60 victory over East Grand of Danforth. She had seven points and 17 rebounds in a loss to Narraguagus of Harrington last week.
