ROCKLAND – Police on Wednesday were searching for a black 1990 Toyota pickup truck that was stolen late Tuesday night from the Trade Winds Motor Inn parking lot on Park Drive.

The vehicle’s Maine registration is 4756KZ, Deputy Police Chief Wallace Tower said.

At 11:25 p.m. Tuesday, Jodi Larrondo of St. George was at the Trade Winds when the truck she had borrowed from acquaintance Ronald Meyer was stolen. Meyer was working at Fisher Engineering at the time of the reported theft, Tower said.

Tower said police have a suspect in mind and said the keys were not in the vehicle when it was taken.
