Selander paces unbeaten Caribou

CARIBOU – Monica Selander scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds Saturday to lead unbeaten Caribou to a 61-55 girls basketball victory over Hermon.

Makayla Gahagan netted 12 points, Lindsey Burlock scored 11 and Lauren Harrigan added 10 for Caribou.

Malerie Hall had 15 points for the Hawks and Shannon Wiggin scored 13.

Shead, which trailed 30-27 after three quarters, made 13 of 16 from the line in the fourth period, and 19 of 27 for the game.

Davis shot 9-of-10 from the line for the game, and finished with a team-high 13 points. Skylar Richardson added 12 points for the Tigers.

Grady Anderson scored for 3-2 Houlton-Hodgdon off assists from Sam Tweedie and Tyler Hutchinson. Nic Joslyn made 18 stops.

At Van Buren, Jason Thompson scored 12 of his game-high 20 points in the second half and Chris Pesut contributed 11 of his 18 as Washburn outscored Van Buren 42-26 to erase a five-point halftime lead.
