LEWISTON – Four suspects have been arrested in connection with a vandalism spree in the Lewiston-Auburn area that damaged more than a dozen vehicles.
The incidents Sunday caused thousands of dollars in damage when vehicles in Lewiston, Lisbon and Auburn were shot with a BB gun, police said.
The arrests were made Sunday evening at the intersection of Lisbon and Main streets in Lewiston after the owner of one of the damaged vehicles gave police a description of the white Ford Explorer from which the shots were fired.
Willie Jackson, 19, of Lisbon and Edward Shaw, 21, of Sabattus face 14 counts of criminal mischief, police said, and additional charges may be filed. Also arrested were two male teenagers.
