Stearns outscores PCHS

GUILFORD – Trisha MacDonald scored 22 points to lead Stearns of Millinocket to a 77-61 schoolgirl basketball victory over the Piscataquis Pirates on Monday night.

Jen Nason added 11 points for Stearns, which gradually pulled away from a 16-16 first-quarter tie.

Charley Bradford scored 22 points for the Pirates. Heather Woodbury had 14 points and eight rebounds.
