HOULTON – Zach Greenier scored three goals to lead the John Bapst Crusaders to a 6-3 high school hockey victory over the Stearns Minutemen at Millar Arena Tuesday night.

Kyle Maynard scored two goals and set up four others for 3-6 John Bapst of Bangor, while David Sawyer contributed a goal and two assists. Dan Leighton made 29 saves on 32 shots.

Tyler Pelkey scored all three goals for 0-6 Stearns of Millinocket, with Ryan Bouchard assisting on each of them. Jay Kim made 28 saves on 34 shots.

Hampden Acad. 8, Old Town 2

At Alfond Arena in Orono, Kevin Brooks and Jason Huntley each had two goals and two assists for the Broncos, while Dan Mangano contributed two goals and one assist.

Chris Pease chipped in with a goal and an assist for Hampden, while Kevin Dunham scored a goal and Ian Lee, Lance Ingerson and Tim Henderson each had an asssist.

Mike Millett and Troy Cronk each scored for Old Town, while Tom Moriarity had an assist.

Rory Woods and Ryan Richards combined to make nine saves on 11 shots for 5-3 Hampden. J.P. Stowe and Jason Trask combined on 59 saves on 67 shots for 0-9 Old Town.

Orono 10, Foxcroft 3

At Sawyer Arena in Bangor, Travis Bryant and Tony Raymond each had three goals plus an assist as the Red Riots rolled.

Dylan Huckestein notched two goals and an assist for 7-2 Orono while Tom Smuth and Derek Smith added a goal each. Keith Hedrick had 17 saves on 20 shots.

Mike Freese tallied a goal plus an assist for the 3-4 Ponies. Derek Smith and Andy Robinson had a goal apiece, and Dan Perkins stopped 30 out of 40 shots.

Boys basketball

Ellsworth 82, Orono 70

At Ellsworth, Joey DeWitt and brother Corey DeWitt combined for 61 points and the Eagles hit on 12 of 17 3-point shots to keep the Eagles unbeaten.

Joey scored 31 points and Corey had 30. Andy Tracy had nine points and 13 rebounds.

Ryan Levesque had 24 points and Lance Cowan added 16.
