JASON HUNTLEY
Huntley, a forward for the Hampden Academy hockey team, had five goals and two assists in two victories as the Broncos improved their record to 5-3. Huntley had three goals, including on the power play, in a 3-1 win over John Bapst. He had two goals and two assists as Hampden cruised past Old Town 8-2.
Small School (Classes C-D)
JOSH MADDEN
Madden, a senior guard at Calvary Chapel Christian School in Orrington, scored 28 points during the Sabers’ 87-41 victory at Greenville on Tuesday to surpass 1,000 points for his career. A transfer from Bangor Christian school, Madden entered the game needing 28 points to reach the milestone, and did so early in the third quarter.
GIRLS
Big School (Classes A-B)
SERENA DUBOIS
A sophomore forward for the Bangor basketball team, Dubois scored 10 of her team-high 11 points in the second half and added 10 rebounds in a 45-41 win over Hampden, avenging an early season loss. She scored eight points in a 41-28 victory over Nokomis Friday.
Small School (Classes C-D)
SAMANTHA DAVIS
Davis, a senior guard on the Shead of Eastport basketball squad, finished with 17 points to lead the Class D Tigerettes to a 48-45 win over Class C Calais. She also had a game-best 23 points against Machias in a 49-40 victory.
