Devils defeat Tigers

DEXTER – Central of Corinth outscored Dexter 18-10 in the fourth quarter Thursday night, erasing a five-point deficit after three quarters to earn a 60-57 boys basketball victory.

Nick Elliott paced the Red Devils with 19 points, while Joey Kane netted 13.

Eric Day led Dexter with a game-high 20 points, while Brett Towle and Matt Murray contributed 12 and 11, respectively.

At Sawyer Arena in Bangor, Ben Kramer scored two goals and had an assist to help give 3-3 Gardiner the win.

Lucas Gould added a goal and an assist while Dino Grimaldi and Mike Capen scored a goal each for the Tigers. Josh Wheelock and Cody Jean each recorded an assist. Spencer Leahy made 17 saves on 20 shots.

Kyle Maynard led John Bapst with a goal and two assists while Zac Greenier and David Sawyer each scored and had and assist. Tyler Cyr added an assist while Dan Leighton faced 46 shots and made 42 saves for the 3-7 Crusaders.

Girls basketball

Winslow 48, MCI 33

At Winslow, Stephanie Bossie scored seven of her team-high 13 points in the fourth quarter for the Black Raiders.

Bossie also pulled down 14 rebounds for Winslow. Sarah Roderigue had 10 points and seven steals. Amanda Byrne had seven steals and five assists, while Brittany Morin added seven steals.

Victoria Huff paced the Huskies of Pittsfield with a game-high 21 points.
