Police accuse man of damaging motel

Bangor police arrested a man on several charges after he allegedly kicked holes in a motel wall Thursday morning.

Officer Paul Colley reported that at about 7:15 a.m. he was called to the Holiday Inn on Main Street, where a man was damaging inn property.

Colley said he found employees holding a man down in the hallway of Killarney’s Restaurant, which is attached to the inn. They said the man, identified as Jeremiah Rhodes, 24, was kicking holes in the wall.

When employees confronted Rhodes, they said he tried to knock one of them over and hit another in the jaw before they could restrain him.

While on the ground, Rhodes said he was armed. Colley found two knives on Rhodes.

Colley said Rhodes also claimed to have kicked holes in the wall the week before. He explained that he did it because the Holiday Inn was kidnapping Irish women.

Colley arrested Rhodes and charged him with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and two counts of assault.

Old Town police arrested a Hudson man after his truck went off the road Thursday afternoon.

Sgt. Travis Roy said that at about 5:45 p.m. he and Sgt. Michael Hashey went to the Kirkland Road, where a truck had hit a tree.

Roy said there were no injuries, but the driver, Ralph Millette, 57, of Hudson, was arrested for operating under the influence. Damage to the 2003 Chevrolet was estimated at $2,500.
