AUGUSTA – The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association will hold several presentations and discussion groups covering a range of sustainable agriculture subjects on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the Augusta Civic Center. The presentations will be as follows:

. “Using the Internet for Farm Marketing Publicity,” 9:15 a.m., Cumberland Room.

. “Organic Dairy,” 10:15 a.m., Piscataquis-Sagadahoc Room.

. “Pesticide Regulation for Organic Farmers,” 10:15 a.m., Cumberland Room.

. MOFGA’s annual meeting, 11:15 a.m., Piscataquis-Sagadahoc Room.

. “Organic Certification Issues Update,” 1:30 p.m., Piscataquis-Sagadahoc Room.

. “Organic Pest Control,” 1:30 p.m., Cumberland Room.

. “MOFGA Publications,” 2:30 p.m., Piscataquis-Sagadahoc Room.

. “MOFGA’s New Farmer Training Programs,” 2:30 p.m., Cumberland Room.

. “Organic Winter Squash Production,” 3:30 p.m., Piscataquis-Sagadahoc Room.

. “Food Safety for Value-Added Business,” 3:30 p.m., Cumberland Room.

The program will be part of the annual Maine Agricultural Trade Show, which ends Thursday, Jan. 15. All events are free and open to the public.
