The senior guard from Hermon led the Hawks to pair of victories that improved their record to 10-1. Keith had 23 points and five steals in a win over Caribou, then scored 31 points Tuesday night as Hermon knocked Ellsworth from the ranks of the unbeaten.

Small School (Classes C-D)

RYAN O’KEEFE

The senior distance runner from Sumner High School in East Sullivan led the Tigers to victory in a four-team Eastern Maine Indoor Track League meet Saturday by winning the two-mile run and placing second in the 800. O’Keefe’s time of 10:17 in the two-mile is the best time in that event so far in the current EMITL season.

GIRLS

Big School (Classes A-B)

MARISSA MCLEOD

McLeod, a senior guard for the Hermon basketball team, racked up 21 points, eight rebounds and four assists as the Hawks defeated Caribou 54-46 in a key Eastern Maine Class B matchup.

Small School (Classes C-D)

KAITLYN LEEMAN

The Woodland basketball team’s senior point guard led the Dragons in scoring in three key wins, including a 33-point effort in a 59-56 overtime victory over Lee. She scored 27 in a 56-50 win over Lubec and another 15 in a 44-39 win over Mattanawcook of Lincoln.
