At Auburn, Brandon Prescott scored the game-winner with 2:37 left in the third period lifted the Rams past the previously undefeated and defending Class A state champion Red Eddies.

Prescott’s goal came off a slapshot after an Edward Little turnover. T.J. Vanidestine had two goals and an assist in the back-and-forth game. Nick Payson had a goal and three assists, and Andrew Marin added a goal for 8-3 Bangor. Dylan George had three assists and Aaron Buzzell stopped 45 of 49 shots.

Kyle Smith led the 9-1 Eddies with two goals. Mert Gould and Colby Gilbert scored one apiece and Kris Bennett made 19 saves on 24 shots.

Orono 7, Kents Hill 1

At Alfond Arena, Dylan Huckestein tallied two goals and two assists as the Red Riots downed the Huskies.

Jacob Roeder also scored two goals for 9-2 Orono. Tony Raymond and Tommy Smyth each had a goal and two assists, and John Tuell chipped in with a goal and an assist. Keith Hedrick made 22 saves on 23 shots.

Benjamin Krall scored an unassisted goal for 4-3 Kents Hill. Josh Seeley stopped 34 of 41 shots.
