ELLSWORTH – Woodlawn Museum has received a grant of $900 to preserve and provide better access to its historical collections. The grant was provided by the Maine Historical Records Advisory Board with funds from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission.

A recent report to the Legislature explained that many of Maine’s historical collections face the dangers of mold, mildew or misuse.

The grant funds will be used to purchase storage boxes and file folders to aid in the preservation of the historical documents. For more information about the Historical Collections Grant Program, contact Janet Roberts at 287-5791 or by e-mail at janet.roberts@maine.gov.
