BOSTON – Troy Clark, a senior at Lisbon High School, won the 3,000-meter racewalk at the Greater Boston Invitational Track and Field meet at Harvard University on Sunday.

Clark finished the race in 13 minutes, 53.35 seconds, and along with Leavitt of Turner Center senior Kyle Libby, who placed second in 14:48.90, qualified for the USATF Junior National Championships to be held in June in Buffalo.

Daniel Pendergast of Caribou, who currently is attending the University of Maine at Farmington, was third in 15:33.42, followed by Padric Gleason of Hall-Dale (16:35.80) and Mark Dennett of Winthrop (16:52.28).

In the girls race, Mt. Blue High School junior Carly Lochala placed second in 15:35.67, while Lauren Forgues was third in 15:47.71. Both walkers also qualified for the USATF Junior National Championships. Other top Maine finishers were Kate Dickinson of South Berwick (fourth in 16:27.26), Marissa Hessert of Caribou (19:18.14) and Heather Cyr of Mount Blue (19:19.39).
