OLD TOWN – Bunker13 recently opened at 296 Main St. in Old Town. Owners Eric Veilleux and Ben Trudel sell backpacks, survival gear, jackets, surplus ammunition cans, camping equipment, scuba gear, sleeping bags, rain gear and other outdoor, survival and military gear.

Veilleux and Trudel previously worked at Georgia-Pacific in Old Town and, after a layoff, decided to go into business for themselves.

The twosome said they have enjoyed running the store and talking with customers. Trudel said he enjoyed how they had used innovative ideas in their merchandising. The space occupied by Bunker13 was used previously by Tiny Tims, a used clothing store.

Bunker13 is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. seven days a week.
