Jones free throws help Eagles rally

ELLSWORTH – Victoria Jones’ two free throws with 50 seconds left provided the Ellsworth High School girls basketball team with a 49-48 lead during a game-ending 13-0 run that supplied the Eagles with a 53-48 win over Sumner of East Sullivan Thursday night.

Monique Boutaugh notched six of her 14 points in the final period and Laura Archer scored five of her 13 points. Ashley Oleson finished with 12.

Sandra Klausmeyer led Sumner with 17 points and Jody Pinkham added 12.
