MILLINOCKET – Trisha MacDonald poured in a game-high 31 points to help the Stearns High School girls basketball team avenge a 28-point loss earlier this season in Corinth with a 70-59 triumph over Central Thursday night.

Janessa Nason chipped in with 11 for Stearns, who outscored the Red Devils 37-28 in the second half to pull away.

Jenny Rollins led the Central effort with 23 points and Caitlin Elliott scored 18.

Sandra Klausmeyer led Sumner of East Sullivan with 17 and Jody Pinkham added 12.
