Officer Kerry Libby reported that at about 1:30 p.m. a 17-year-old girl came to the station and said her boyfriend, Valance Bohm, 18, of Bangor, had assaulted her Thursday.
Libby said the girl displayed her hand, which was swollen on the knuckles where she said Bohm had bitten her.
The girl told Libby that Bohm became angry when she took his cell phone, and they got in a fight. She said Bohm put his hands around her neck, then threw her against a wall so that her head hit a shelf.
The girl said Bohm also threatened to kill her. She showed Libby bruises on her arms, torso and leg.
Libby called Bohm and asked him to come to the station. He arrived at about 2 p.m. and gave his side of the story. He said his girlfriend became angry at him over a phone call he received. Bohm said his girlfriend slapped him, and that all he did was hold her hands against the wall to protect himself.
When Libby asked Bohm about the girl’s hand, he said he bit her because she was pulling his hair. He denied threatening her.
Libby issued Bohm a summons for assault and criminal threatening.
