I watched President Bush’s State of the Union speech at the Union Hall of the Greater Bangor Area Central Labor Council in Brewer with my union brothers and sisters. The one sentiment that rang true throughout the meeting both before and after the speech was that this government does not represent workers.
In his speech, Bush said the people have one recourse if the government does not represent them; that is the constitutional process. Several courses of action are open to workers, and they are getting angry and fed up enough to take them.
