BUCKSPORT – Joey DeWitt scored 10 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, going seven-for-nine from the free throw line, to help the Ellsworth Eagles beat the Bucksport Golden Bucks 61-55 in schoolboy basketball action Tuesday night.
Corey DeWitt had a game-high 24 points and seven of his points came in the final period thanks to five-for-five shooting from the free throw line.
Andy Tracy had eight points for the Eagles.
Brian Clapper’s 17 points and seven rebounds and Wade Hopkins’ 16 points and seven steals paced the Bucks. John Harvey and Joey Carmichael teamed up for 15 points and Carmichael cleared seven rebounds.
