Penquis upsets Hermon

MILO – Becca Madden scored 14 points to help the Class C Penquis Patriots notch a pointworthy 39-37 schoolgirl basketball victory over the Class B Hermon Hawks Tuesday night.

Kate Hamlin added 10 points for the Patriots, which opened up a six-point lead in the third quarter and held on for the win.

Malerie Hall led Hermon with 15 points, while Shannon Wiggin scored nine.
