Dim sum? Yum!

As if the Bangor Symphony Orchestra’s music weren’t delicious enough, concert-goers can enjoy a dim sum brunch in the Bodwell Lounge of the Maine Center for the Arts before Sunday’s performance. The brunch, which will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 1, will feature a guided tour of the Hudson Museum exhibit “On the Winds of Trade: Maine’s China Connection.” The concert, “Notes of Passion,” will follow. The brunch and tour cost $12 per person. For reservations, call 942-5555 or (800) 639-3221.

A sweet deal

What could be better than gorging on chocolate all day? How about benefiting a good cause? The Next Step Domestic Violence Project of Hancock County will hold its 11th annual Silent Auction and Chocolate Feast from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, at the White Birches in Ellsworth. The auction will feature more than 100 locally made crafts and paintings, and more than 50 chocolate creations will be served. Tickets cost $10 and are available by calling 667-0176.
