MATT GRIMES

A junior forward for the Brewer hockey team, Grimes scored four goals in a victory over Hampden Academy and added an assist as the Witches defeated Brunswick.

Small School (Classes C-D)

DEVAN PHILBRICK

A senior center for the Highview Christian basketball team, Philbrick amassed 29 points and 23 rebounds as the Charleston school defeated Greenville 57-38, and added 22 points in a loss to unbeaten Calvary Chapel.

Big School (Classes A-B)

SERENA DUBOIS

Dubois, a junior forward for the Bangor High basketball team, logged a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds in the Rams’ 64-55 victory over Gardiner Friday. Dubois also scored 12 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in Monday’s 52-42 win over Old Town. Bangor is 11-1 and ranked first in Eastern Maine Class A.

Small School (Classes C-D)

JONESPORT-BEALS CHEERLEADING TEAM

The Royals, with just five team members, finished in sixth place at the Eastern Maine Class D championships and qualified for the Feb. 7 state competition. A team of Jessica Blyther, Jade Chandler, Kelsey Holmes, Brittany Sawyer and Kayley Walker scored 93 points, ahead of teams with more than twice as many members.
