GREENBUSH – Richard Crouch was among Bangor area residents honored recently by AARP Maine at its annual Volunteer Recognition Awards ceremony and luncheon at the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath.
The ceremony recognized AARP volunteers and their community partners for exceptional service to older Mainers.
Richard Crouch of Greenbush was honored for his volunteer service with his community through Penobscot Chapter 374 of AARP.
Crouch has been president of the chapter for two years, and is committed to finding creative and innovative ways to make a positive impact on his community.
He has organized fund raising for the fire department, remodeling of a building that became a place for seniors to meet and collecting mittens for Head Start children.
