MOUNT DESERT -Brian O’Connell scored 14 points to lead Mount Desert Island to a 53-43 win over George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill in boys basketball action Thursday.

Robin Dailey and Kyle Staples each landed 10 points for the winners.

Collin Henry netted 12 points for GSA. Tim Carter and Andrew Lymburner both made 10 more.
