NEWCASTLE – Macky Sullivan tossed in 15 points, grabbed 17 rebounds, and made seven steals to spark Maine Central Institute to a 48-39 schoolgirl basketball victory over Lincoln Academy on Friday night.
Ashley Currier pulled down 10 rebounds for the Huskies of Pittsfield, and Megan Ferland made six steals.
Katie Hagar led the Eagles with 12 points.

Guidelines for coaches
During this busy sports season, the NEWS asks that managers and coaches for the home teams promptly report the games. Games can be reported starting at 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday and 3 p.m. on Sundays. Games can not be reported on Saturday.
Those seeking to report games from the Greater Bangor area may call at 990-8275. Those outside the Bangor area may call toll free at 1-800-310-8600. Game results will also be accepted through the fax machine. Its number is 990-8092.
Coaches and managers are urged to provide details for both teams when reporting games. First names of players on both teams as well as statistics are needed. Those not providing full details for both teams run the risk of the games not being published in the paper.
