BREWER – Eamon Harding scored the game-winning goal nine minutes, six seconds into the third period to lift the Brewer ice hockey team to a 4-3 victory over Hampden Monday in high school action at T.J. Ryan Arena.

Jake Richter assisted on the winner. Matt Grimes tied the game on a short-handed goal 15 seconds into the third period off of a Ben Caldwell assist. Kevin Kotredes and Ted Kotredes each netted a goal. Harding, Grimes and John Ambrose each had an assist. Freshman Aaron Saunders stopped 20 of 23 shots for the 5-11 Witches.

Jason Huntley scored two goals for 8-8 Hampden and Ian Lee added a goal. Kyle Weiland and Kevin Brooks both had an assist as Rory Woods made 26 saves on 30 shots.

At Stacyville, Patrick Willett put in 18 points to help lead Katahdin to the win.

Frank Grass added 12 points for the Cougars. Jordan Davis, Brian Sullivan, and Alex McAvoy each had 10 points.

Matt Denbow scored 21 points to lead Bangor Christian. Eric Sobey added 19 points and Josh Frost had 12.
