BREWER – Amy Freeman connected on six of eight free throws in the fourth quarter to help lift the Brewer Witches to a 45-38 schoolgirl basketball victory over the Old Town Indians Wednesday night.

Liz Cote also hit four of five free throws in the fourth to help the Witches pull away.

Freeman finished with 23 points and Cote with six for Brewer. Katie Quimby tossed in nine.

Kristi Mitchell sparked the Indians with 20 points.

At the T.J. Ryan Center in Brewer, Kevin Brooks scored two goals in the third period and Kyle Weiland scored twice as the Broncos rolled.

Dan Mangano and Paul Morrison added a goal apiece for 9-8 Hampden. Weiland also had an assist while Jason Huntley and Matt Soucy had two each. Rory Woods had 26 saves on 28 shots.

Ben Sirois scored both goals for the 7-7 Wildcats. Sam Shaw notched two assists. Sean Daigle stopped 26 out of 32 shots.
