Banff film festival

BANGOR – The Banff Mountain Film Festival’s World Tour will bring a selection of outdoor films to Bangor at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at Bangor High School’s Peakes Auditorium. The films are chosen to provide a diverse range of subjects, styles, lengths and activities.

Advance tickets are $8 at Epic Sports, or $9 at the door. For more information, call Epic Sports at 941-5670.

Youth bowling

OLD TOWN – The Old Town Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registrations for the Youth Bowling Program held at the Old Town Bowling Lanes. The program is for children in kindergarten-grade five. Participants will learn the rules of the game, how to keep score and socialize with their peers. Parents are encouraged to participate with lane management and keeping score.

The program will run six weeks, 4-5:30 p.m. Thursdays, beginning Feb. 26. The cost is $25 for residents and $35 for others. To learn more or to register, call 827-3961.

Volleyball league

OLD TOWN – The Old Town Parks and Recreation Department is accepting rosters for an adult coed recreational volleyball league. Local businesses are encouraged to enter teams.

Games will be played at the Leonard Middle School gym at 6 p.m. beginning Tuesday, Feb. 24. Teams will play two games a week.

The first eight teams to register will be eligible for league play. Roster deadlines are noon, Friday, Feb. 20. To learn more or to register, call the recreation department at 827-3961.
