HOWLAND – Kelsey Lavertu tallied 11 points and 10 rebounds Friday as Penobscot Valley upset Stearns of Millinocket 60-38 to earn their first girls basketball postseason berth in 14 years.

Sarah Colbath added 10 points for Penobscot Valley.
