Raiders win DAC boys title

EAST MACHIAS – Whitney Stevens scored nine of his 21 points in the forth quarter Monday night to help Washington Academy earn a 62-53 boys basketball victory over Jones-port-Beals in the Downeast Athletic Conference Championship game.

James Ramsdell added 15 points and Jared Gray had 13 for the Raiders.

Abraham Beal led the Royals with 20 points and Jeremy Chandler netted 17.

Presque Isle 4, John Bapst 1

At Presque Isle Saturday, Ryan Cyr and Trevor Graves each tallied a goal and an assist as the Wildcats picked up the win.

Cyr assisted on an Erik St. Peter goal and Graves helped on a Brad Baker score. Bryan Fowler made 10 saves on 11 shots for 8-7 Presque Isle.

Dan Sawyer scored off a Brian Leighton pass for the 6-11 Crusaders from Bangor. Dan Leighton made 33 saves on 37 shots.
