Old Town police arrested a man after Bangor police informed them that he had violated his bail conditions Wednesday afternoon.

Bangor police Officer Ed Mercier said Allen Burr, 39, of Old Town allegedly called a Bangor woman on her cell phone, saying, “Hi, call me back.”

Mercier said Burr had bail conditions forbidding him to have any contact, direct or indirect, with the complainant. Detective Catherine Rumsey confirmed that there was probable cause to arrest Burr, and Old Town officers located and arrested him. He was charged with violation of conditional release.

Bangor police arrested a man Wednesday morning after he allegedly left two messages on a woman’s voice mail.

Officer Jason Stuart reported that at about 11:40 a.m. he met with a woman who played two messages from her voice mail for him. The caller identified himself as Raymond Mallory, and said he was staying at the Ranger Inn.

Stuart said he recognized Mallory’s voice from earlier encounters. The woman had a protection from harassment order that forbade Mallory any contact with her.

Stuart went to the Ranger Inn, where he found Mallory in the lobby. Mallory said he thought the order, issued in November 2003, had expired. Stuart explained that it was good for a year. He arrested Mallory for violation of a protection from harassment order, and took him to Penobscot County Jail.

Pelletier said Mitchell was wanted for failing to pay fines and fees for operating after suspension and theft.

Mitchell was about to leave the store in a taxi when the officers arrived. She was arrested and taken to Penobscot County Jail.

Officer Mike Adams reported that at about 1:15 a.m. he stopped a car driven by a Brenda Libby, 41, of Milford. Adams said Libby was traveling at 51 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Adams administered sobriety tests and determined that Libby was intoxicated, even though a breath test at Bangor Police Department later gave a blood alcohol content below the legal limit.

Adams arrested Libby on a charge of operating under the influence. She was later released on her own recognizance.
