Erica Stupinski of Mount Ararat High in Topsham and Jimmy Velas Falmouth High School have been named the Gatorade Maine High School Soccer Players of the Year.

Stupinski scored 47 goals and posted 29 assists in leading the Eagles to the Class A state championship while earning NSCAA/adidas All-America honors. She will attend Stonehill College on a basketball scholarship.

Velas racked up 33 goals and 13 assists for the Yachtsmen, earning all-state, All-New England and NSCAA/adidas All-America accolades.
