The University of Maine will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sport Day during Saturday’s games at Alfond Arena. The UMaine women’s hockey team plays New Hampshire at noon and fans can meet the team at a postgame autograph session. Admission is free.

The event continues with the Black Bears’ 7 p.m. women’s basketball game against Albany. There will be face painting and sign-making activities with UMaine’s field hockey and volleyball teams starting at 6 p.m., while the basketball team will sign autographs after the game.

The Maine Female Athlete Wall of Honor will be on display.
