Hot Frost rallies Brewer by Cony Cook powers Broncos past Devils

BREWER – Andy Frost tossed in 12 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter to help the Brewer Witches post a 60-52 boys basketball victory over Cony on Friday night.

Chris Wilson and Jeff Miller followed with 13 points each.

Doug Joerss scored a game-high 25 for the Rams of Augusta.

At Alfond Arena in Orono, Jacob Roeder scored two goals and three players had a goal and two assists apiece as the Red Riots blanked the Indians.

Derek Smith, John Tuell, and Chad Sanborn each scored one goal and assisted on two others. Chris McConnon, Dylan Huckestein, Travis Couture, Tony Raymond, and Joe Smyth had one goal apiece. Travis Bryant had three assists, while Keith Hedrick and Jared Bussell combined for 10 saves on 10 shots for 15-3 Orono.

J.P. Stowe made 48 saves on 58 shots for 0-16 Old Town.

At Bangor, Laura Clarke notched 16 points in the Rams’ win.

Rachel McAllian added 14 and Caroline Weymouth 13.
