ROCKLAND – A car with $2,000 worth of tools was stolen from Brewster Street early Friday and recovered in the downtown the next afternoon.

Deputy Police Chief Wallace Tower said Owls Head resident Jacob Harvey reported his 1989 Volkswagen stolen at 10:30 a.m. Friday from in front of 22 Brewster St.

When the car was recovered the next day, the tools were still inside.

“Apparently it went from point A to point B without being damaged or anything taken,” Tower said Tuesday.
