Finneran, Estes lead Traip past Georges Valley Valley girls advance to Western D semifinals

AUGUSTA – Kelly Finneran scored 13 points and Jessie Estes added 11 as third-ranked Traip Academy of Kittery eliminated Georges Valley of Thomaston 62-42 in a Western C girls quarterfinal basketball game Tuesday.

Kate Letourneau scored 10 points to lead 11th-seeded Georges Valley, which fell behind early and trailed 35-19 at halftime.
