BANGOR – Bull Moose Music will hold a voter registration drive from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 15, at Bull Moose Music stores throughout Maine, including it’s Maine Square location on Hogan Road in Bangor. Any qualifying resident of Maine currently aged 17 who will be 18 by election day, Nov. 2, or any qualifying resident over 18 not already registered to vote is eligible to register.
The goal is to sign up 2,000 new voters statewide in the five-hour period. The voter registration drive will be a nonpartisan event and all are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Bull Moose Music will mail the completed forms to Maine’s secretary of state or the registrants can take the form and deliver it to their city or town hall.
“The Secretary Of State’s Office has made this process very easy for us,” said Gillian Britt, publicist for Bull Moose Music. “They’ve already supplied our offices with the forms and have been very helpful with making sure we understand the process. It’s very encouraging to have our idea of a voter registration accepted so readily.”
Bull Moose Music was started in 1989 by Brett Wickard when he was a junior at Bowdoin College in Brunswick. It is now the largest music retailer in Maine.
